On August 18, 2025, Wei Shijun, Director of the China-Africa Friendship Economic and Trade Development Working Committee, led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on H.E. Iven Zyuulu, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to China. Ambassador Zyuulu and his team warmly received the delegation of the Committee.
During the meeting, Director Wei Shijun introduced the purpose and development orientation of the Committee to Ambassador Zyuulu and his team, and focused on elaborating on the plans and visions for promoting China-Africa economic and trade cooperation. Meanwhile, the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the development prospects of Zambia in such fields as transportation, agriculture and new energy. Both sides agreed that these fields boast broad cooperation space and potential, and are expected to drive the implementation of a number of practical and feasible cooperation projects in the future.
The China-Africa Friendship Economic and Trade Development Working Committee will continue to uphold the tenet of “friendly cooperation and mutually beneficial win-win”, actively promote the expansion and deepening of practical cooperation between China and Zambia in multiple fields, and make new contributions to the development of China-Africa economic and trade relations.
