On the afternoon of August 28, 2025, Wei Shijun, Director of the China-Africa Friendship Economic and Trade Development Working Committee, and his entourage visited Haier Biomedical to conduct visits, learning sessions and discussion exchanges. General Manager Meng from the Project Department of Haier Biomedical warmly received the visiting representatives and accompanied them throughout the visit.

During the visit, staff from Haier Biomedical led Director Wei Shijun and his entourage into the exhibition hall, and sequentially introduced a series of intelligent solutions including the “Smart Hospital Scenario, Smart Pharmaceutical Scenario, Smart High-Tech Scenario, Smart Disease Control Scenario, and Smart Blood Scenario”. The exhibits in the hall not only covered Haier Biomedical’s cutting-edge achievements in the fields of life sciences and healthcare, but also concentratedly demonstrated its full-process and full-scenario digital solutions developed under the empowerment of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, and artificial intelligence (AI). Through the intuitive display, the visiting representatives gained a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise’s explorations and achievements in promoting the construction of smart medical care and smart public health systems.

Subsequently, the two sides held a discussion and exchange in the conference room of Haier Biomedical. At the meeting, General Manager Meng from the Project Department and heads of relevant departments introduced to the delegation of the China-Africa Friendship Economic and Trade Development Working Committee Haier Biomedical’s international layout and the progress of key projects in recent years. Particularly in the African market, Haier Biomedical has actively responded to the needs of global public health system construction, developed integrated solutions covering multiple links such as vaccine cold chain, disease control and prevention, and blood safety management. These solutions have been implemented in many countries, contributing “Chinese solutions” and “Chinese wisdom” to the development of Africa’s public health cause.

During the exchange, General Manager Meng pointed out that Haier Biomedical not only focuses on the continuous innovation of technologies and products, but also attaches great importance to collaborative cooperation with international organizations, local governments and partners. Through cooperation with UN agencies, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and other institutions, the company has established vaccine cold chain networks and healthcare support systems in many countries and regions across Africa, playing a positive role in enhancing local disease prevention and control capabilities and improving public health standards. During the discussion, Director Wei Shijun expressed high recognition for the achievements Haier Biomedical has made in the African market. He stated that Africa is an important direction for Chinese enterprises to pursue the “Going Global” strategy, and there is a huge demand for public health system construction on the continent. By leveraging its own technological advantages and integrating emerging means such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data, Haier Biomedical has established comprehensive smart medical and public health solutions in Africa.
